Emergencies

Classes are not dismissed and will resume when notified that the danger has passed

  • Fire

    • Alarm will sound.

    • All faculty, staff, and students should proceed to the nearest exit and move to the grassy area by the lake.

    • The Instructor will take accountability by verifying all students on the class roster have left the building.

  • Tornado/Weather

    • Notification will be given.

    • All faculty, staff, and students should proceed to the interior hall on the first floor away from any windows.

    • Everyone should stay in the interior halls until the “All Clear” is given by a representative of the Fire College.

    • DO NOT GET INTO A VEHICLE!

  • Suspicious Package or Envelope, located on the interior or exterior of the building:

    • DO NOT touch, shake, or empty the contents of any suspicious package or envelope.

    • Contact faculty or staff and tell them the location; they will contact Campus Security.

    • Leave the room and close the door.

    • Instructors: Move class to the grassy area by the lake. Make a list of who was in the class or office with name and phone number. If a powder is present, DO NOT clean-up the powder.
