Withdrawal/Refund Policy
Students who register for courses and fail to attend will be charged full tuition. To receive a full refund, withdrawals must be received in writing to Registration (registration@alabamafirecollege.org) at least two weeks prior to the beginning of class. Students will receive full refunds for courses canceled by the Alabama Fire College.
Students utilizing VA Benefits: No refunds will be given once student completes the first day of class.
Fire Fighter I/II/Bridge: Written withdrawal request must be received prior to Orientation in order to receive a full refund of tuition. An early withdrawal penalty of $175 is charged after Orientation has been held and before the first day of class. No refund will be given for uniform costs if garments have been worn or the tags have been removed. Prorated PPE rental fees, if applicable, will be refunded based on the withdrawal date. Hotel accommodation (for on-campus students only) refunds will be prorated based on the date of withdrawal. Tuition will be refunded as follows:
Students, both FF I/II and Bridge, withdrawing during the first week of class, will receive a 75% tuition refund.
Students, both FF I/II and Bridge, withdrawing during the second week of class, will receive a 50% tuition refund.
Tuition refunds will not be granted to FF I/II or Bridge students withdrawing during or after the third week of class.
EMS (EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic): An early withdrawal penalty of $175 is charged after Orientation has been held and before the first day of class. No refund will be given for uniform costs if garments have been worn or the tags have been removed. Tuition will be refunded as follows:
Students withdrawing during the first week of class will receive a 75% tuition refund.
Students withdrawing during the second week of class will receive a 50% tuition refund.
Tuition refunds will not be granted to students withdrawing during or after the third week of class.
